The official packaging and final renders of the upcoming limited edition Johnny Lightning diecasts featuring the cars of Matt Avery's award-winning book, COPO, have been shown for the first time in a new video released by Round2.
All twelve of the pieces in the set debuted and include such highlights as the Daytona Yellow 1969 COPO Camaro ZL1 ordered by Berger Chevrolet in Grand Rapids, MI, a 1968 Yenko Camaro in Corvette Bronze and a Forest Green 1970 Yenko Deuce.
Each of the 1/64 collector pieces was carefully modeled and highly detailed after full-size classic Chevy vehicles processed through the brand's Central Office during the 1960s and documented by Avery as part of his extensive research for his book. During the diecasts' creation, Avery was instrumental in ensuring their accuracy and provided the facts and figures showcased on the card back. His photography also adorns each package, captured from his travel around the nation in his completion of the book.
The diecast vehicles, sure to be a collector's item, will be available for sale in late August 2020.
